The world is moving faster and faster. New technologies are changing the face of how we live our lives. It's hard to keep up with all the latest trends! Our students, however, easily keep up. Our education system does not.
We expect our students to sit in rows of desks and pay attention to a teacher droning on. It has been proven that with the way we access the world now, our attention spans have decreased to 7 second. SEVEN SECONDS!! How can a teacher keep up? That's our goal here at The Shift. Helping teachers makes that shift into 21st century learning. Won't you join us?

THE STORY
What is it that fuels each and every one of us in this world? For me, it is teaching. I made the shift into teaching later in life. I worked in government for 16 years but never felt satisfaction in my career. I have found a true sense of fulfillment teaching 5th grade. Additionally, I enjoy writing about my passions, what interests me, what interests other people, and sharing it with the world. With each passing day, The Shift gains more followers, and with that the ability to share knowledge with each other.
